This event series will take place monthly at the st_a_cyclehub #StAlbans Cottonmill #Cycle Hub.
GO TRI Local events are for beginners from 15+ to adult who would like to try a multi-sport event for the first time. It’s a no pressure and non-competitive duathlon! There`s also a family wave, see more below.
Please note this is a bare bones event meaning there will be no medals or no chip timing, but the opportunity to take part in a fun, friendly event at St Albans!
The parent and child wave allows those juniors from the age of 6 upwards to take part, but they must always remain within sight of the adult they are taking part with - you must book both the adult and child separately in this wave.

2. ALOHA Winterlauf
Voller frostigfroher Erwartung habe ich dem 2.Teil des #alohawinterlauflinz entgegengefiebert. Das Wetter war grossartig, Temperaturen um die 0°C und am Vortag hat es geschneit. Läuferherz 🩵 was willst du mehr.
Erste Hürde: Die Wahl des richtigen Schuhwerks.
An der Donau war es geräumt und griffig - oben am Damm noch eine leicht eisige Schneeschicht. Letztenendes sind es die normalen Strassenlaufschuhe gewurden. Unten lief es super - oben leider immer um 20-30Sekunden schlechter - doofer Schnee 😄
Und das zweite Problem: Die Ausdauerkraft
Leider war es in letzter Zeit etwas stressig und ich kam nicht richtig zum Laufen. Zudem noch die Verletzung der Bänder vom Silvesterlauf.
Für die Schwierigkeiten bin ich allerdings sehr zufrieden.

Sonntagswecker ⏰ läutet um 7:30 (eigentlich viel zu früh 😉), Temperatur: -3 Grad 🥶, Schnee ❄️, teilweise windig 🌬️ und der Boden eisig und rutschig.
Welche Zeit ist es nur?
Genau: Winterlaufserie Teil 2 von alohasportevents 🥳
Normal würde ich bei diesen Bedinungen nicht raus gehen, aber aufgrund des super Events von stefan_leitner_tri und seinem Team gibt es keinen Grund im Bett zu bleiben!
3. Platz von 13 Damen auf den 5km 🥳
Gemeinsam mit den Tri Bees vom besten Vereien triteam_1.usc_traun haben wir alle Distanzen gerockt 💪🏻 und auch noch die myIndigo Gutscheine angestaubt 🤤 Danke für die Motivation, es ist mir immer wieder eine Freude!
Endlich wieder auf dem richtigen Weg zurück vom ständigen krank sein 🤗
P.s.: ein besseres Kuchenbuffet im Ziel gibts es nirgends 🤤

ALOHA Winterlauf - Teil 1
Bei knackigen Minus 7 Grad 🥶🥶🥶, aber strahlend blauen Himmel ging es pünktlich in den vorletzten Lauf des Jahres.
(Der Letzte wird der Silvesterlauf des trirunlinz Laufvereins sein)
Die Strecke ging vom lentoslinz bis zur Autobahnbrücke direkt an der Donau entlang und zurück über den Damm am Brucknerhaus vorbei. Einfach herrlich, den Schnee unter den Füßen knacksen zuhören und sich von den Sonnenstrahlen wärmen zu lassen. Das geniessen, ob wohl das Herz hochfrequent pulsiert.
Den Lauf habe ich sehr bewusst gestaltet. Mein Ziel eine gleichmässige Pace bei circa 4:20min zu laufen hat sehr gut funktioniert. Leider hatte ich am Ende dann nicht mehr die Power den von hinten heranstürmenden Herbert Schatzl vom triteam_1.usc_traun Paroli zuleisten. Aber mit einer Endzeit von 1h07min🏃 kann ich sehr zufrieden sein.
Aber Herbert, beim nächsten Lauf kommst nicht vorbei!!! 😁
Danke an die Veranstalter alohasportevents für ein sehr gut organisiertes Event und eine toll gestaltet Medallie🥇. Die Idee Weihnachtsmann🎅 vs. Christkind 👼war auch eine tolle Idee und kam mega an. Leider hat das Christkind gewonn.
Ich habe auch Flo vom floro_racingteam getroffen, der als Christkind laufen "durfte". Ich hoffe das Christkind ist nicht abgestürzt 😁

Seit kurzem haben wir auch in Linz eine Winterlaufserie 🥰, die Initiative wollte ich unbedingt unterstützen, deswegen bin ich heute an die Startlinie vom #alohawinterlauflinz gegangen.
Obwohl es mich echt viel Überwindung gekostet hat, bei der Kälte und so bald in der Früh an einem Sonntag 🥶.
Man kann 5, 10 oder 15 km laufen, ich habe mich für 15 km angemeldet. Umgehend nach dem Start habe ich gemerkt, dass die Marathonform sich endgültig verabschiedet hat 😅, und der Lauf zach sein wird 🤪. Der Puls war hoch, das Tempo hingegen mäßig. Und meine Mentalstärke habe ich in den letzten Wochen schon genug trainiert 😅. Deswegen wollte ich nach 10 km mich nicht weiter quälen und habe meinen Lauf gefinished. Bin voll stolz auf meine Entscheidung 😄😄.
Der Lauf an sich ist sehr nett, im Ziel habe ich eine hübsche Medaille bekommen, mit der ich gar nicht gerechnet habe. Finde es richtig toll, dass ich vor der Haustür so ein Event habe👍🏻, es ist eine willkommene Abwechslung in den langen Wintermonaten. Freue mich auf die weitere Läufe der Serie 🥰

No matter the discipline (swim, bike, run), I always invested in the best. This is because although it may cost a few extra 💲, the product is usually more durable and lasts a long time. I like to see if I can support local businesses before ordering online so when I found out about tri.aloha I knew I needed to get my hands on one of their cycling kits. What really stood out to me was the green. There’s something about the way tri.aloha designed this kit that really caught my eye. Not to mention, the Hawaiian flag that brings it all together. Another VeloPark Duathlon completed on Sunday, hosted by alohatriltd and #GoTri . Such a great event to take part in if you’re new to multi-discipline sport or wanting to train towards a longer distance duathlon/triathlon.
A monthly event at London’s Olympic Park VeloPark, it’s a run-bike-run format; 1 mile / 5 miles / 1 mile. The course is undulating so although the distance may be short, the hills make it challenging! 😆 I completed the event in about 36 minutes this time, knocking off about 2 minutes from my June effort, mainly from my cycling 🚴♂️ My run legs were about the same, even though I ran with a GoPro and spoke to the camera while running 😆
For a cost of £5 to participate in a duathlon on an Olympic venue, I can’t recommend this enough! The team at alohatriltd are wonderful and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed for beginners, though suits even experienced triathletes too.

Am Sonntag ging es wieder heiß her, rund um den Oedter See.
Peter Müllner holte sich auf der olympischen Distanz den 🥈 Gesamtplatz, hinter einem brutal starken Lukatsch Rafael.
Peter Huber wiederholte seinen Gesamtsieg 🏆 auf der Sprintdistanz vor Jakob Kaiser und Mayr Thomas.
Für Peter H. war es der letzte Triathlon in dieser Saison und er startet in ein paar Tagen mit dem Sport Streicher Team beim Race Around Austria ein etwas längeres Radrennen.

Olympische Distanz ✅
Der 1.Triahtlon für mich in dieser Saison 🥰 Nach absolut nicht perfekter Vorbereitung und gesundheitlichen Auf und Ab’s in den letzten Monaten hieß es Augen zu und durch 👀
Nach 2:52:36 durfte ich - nach einigen quälenden Runden beim Laufen - mit einer neuen persönlichen Bestzeit und als 5. in meiner AK finishen 🤩🥳

Olympische Distanz ✅
Schwimmen ohne Neo ist nicht ganz so meins, war aber trotzdem nicht mega schlecht heute.
Am Rad hab ich`s heute ein bissl ruhiger angehen lassen, da die Sprint-EM in München vor der Tür steht und der Fokus eher auf diesem Rennen liegt. Die abschließenden 10 Lauf-km waren auch ganz OK ☺️ Gemeinsam mit der Trainerin kann man da jetzt gut drauf aufbauen 🤩 Hat auf jeden Fall Spaß gemacht und war ein echt cooles Rennen mit vielen bekannten Gesichtern 🥰

A small step towards becoming a triathlete 🙌
Yesterday I participated in my first duathlon: a short run-bike-run event at Lee Valley VeloPark at London’s Olympic Park. The event was hosted by alohatriltd and is a great way for athletes who are new to multi-discipline events (like me) to get a taste for what it’s like and gain experience in a low-stress environment. On the 1 mile circuit, the event was 1 lap running, followed by 5 laps cycling before finishing with a final lap of running.
Anyone who’s run or cycled at the VeloPark before knows what an undulating course it is! I took about 38 minutes to complete the event, it was non-stop effort and tougher than I expected; I loved it though! It felt great to push myself hard and not rest until the finish line 💪 I definitely earned my burger afterwards 😋
Thanks again to alohatriltd for organising the event and for the free photos as well. They have the same event here again in August, check them out if this is something you’ve thought about trying; I might see you there! 😉

Nice easy 75 minute run at lunchtime today along Regent’s Canal and around Victoria Park; one of my favourite middle-distance routes in my area. I say it was an easy run despite struggling to keep my heart rate down; I feel quite fortunate to have gotten off pretty lightly with having Covid last week, though I guess there will be some lingering effects for a time and other runners have told me to expect the HR to be high for a while. What’s been your experience with running after Covid, how long did it take to feel well again?
Decided to wear my Prague Marathon shirt for the first time today; it’s much too big for me, however I do like the design and colour and it reminds me I completed that tough race! 😆

What an amazing day! I had aimed to complete the event in 5h30. I finally finished in front of my supporters in 5h15! Huge success!
It will sound obvious, but we say "training will pay off". It can be hard to maintain a regular training cadence., but it`s worth it!
My result is a testament to it and I had an amazing day, amazing race. Felt great from start to finish. I have loved it and can`t wait the next one.
